Independent Family Funeral Directors - Serving the Community Since 1852

Prop. West and Coe Ltd

Your Care is Our Concern

Losing someone you care about can be one of life’s most difficult experiences. There are no easy answers when trying to help a bereaved family come to terms with their loss. Every situation is unique, and people react in different ways.

At J. Perigoe & Son we believe we have an important responsibility to care for the bereaved, not just by offering support during the funeral but afterwards as well, especially in the difficult days that may follow. The families in our community are at the heart of what we do.

Our care continues for two very important reasons:

because we understand the impact

loss has on our lives,

and because, where we have the opportunity to

make a difference to others lives, we do.

We can offer you support and guidance in trying to understand your grief and provide you with details of ongoing support available to you in your community. Whether you need emotional, practical or financial guidance you should be able to find a local professional organisation that have the knowledge and expertise you require.

Most importantly, do not suffer alone. By engaging yourself in activities you have an interest in and enjoy, the positive impact they can make on your life should not be dismissed or under estimated. There are many local clubs, groups and organisations out there, covering a wide range of interests and hobbies. We believe in the celebration and support of life; the life of those we have lost and the life we are all living. Our families and our community are at the heart of what we do. We want our care to make a difference. To improve quality of life as much as we can, by doing what we do best.

By listening and supporting.

If you are either part of, or aware of a group or organisation that benefits the quality of life of members of the community, we would love to hear from you. Feel free to contact us at one of our offices or via our website to discuss future opportunities.

You can find our Cranbrook office just off the High Street on Bank Street. This road runs between the Natwest Bank and the Crane Dental Surgery.

Our Northiam office is located on Dixter Road, a turning off Station Road (A28) opposite the Blue Cross Hospital & Rehoming Centre. We are on the junction with Ewhurst Lane.

Our charities

We can also assist you in supporting your chosen charities. Should you wish for donations to be made either in place of or in addition to floral tributes, we are happy to collect and pass these on, on your behalf. Below are just a few of the supported charities. Donations are also often made to local doctor’s surgery patient funds and nursing homes.
